Follow this guide to get started and set up your domain email with ease.


Step 1: Locate the Outlook (new) App

Ensure the Outlook (new) app is installed. It is included in Windows Updates or can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.
Look for the Outlook (new) icon in your Start menu or on the taskbar.

Step 2: Configure Your Email Account

Starting the Setup

  1. Open the Outlook (new) app.
  2. On the starting screen, find the blank box under the Suggested Account label.
  3. Enter your email address (e.g., email@domain.com.au).
  4. Click Continue at the bottom right.

Note: The Continue button will remain grayed out until a valid email address is entered.

Completing the Setup

  1. Enter your email password when prompted.
  2. Click Continue and wait for the "Waiting for your email provider" screens to complete.
  3. When the setup is finished, click Done.
  4. You’ll be taken to your inbox with the Outlook (new) interface. Take some time to explore and get used to the updated design.

  1. Open the Outlook (new) app.
  2. Click on the Settings menu (gear icon).
  3. Select General, then About Outlook on the following screen.

Note: If your Outlook does not show you the detail or looks different when searching for these menus, then you are using Classic Outlook.
